I wish SOMEONE would put a stop to the nonsense. Seriously, with all the shows portraying Southerners as having no good sense, no couth and no teeth is it any wonder that the rest of the country- maybe the world?- thinks that we're brainless slobs with no ambition who spend their money on cigarettes, booze and plastic surgery????

I agree that it seems impossible for any tv show to be made about any southerners without portraying them as backwards rednecks....We are being profiled .

Does that include C-Span's coverage of the US Congress?

Oh, good grief! Here we go again! I heard this morning that much of the show isn't even being recorded in Murrells Inlet and that it will take place somewhere around Andrews ... As much as I know the term "reality" is being used extremely loosely, I am sure I will be tuning in. Heck, I am on the edge of my seat waiting for Myrtle Manor to start back up.
