And folks say these shows have no value! Thanks for showing 'em they wrong. I'm shocked this lovely woman didn't make it her mission to move down here and show us how we're supposed to be living.

TRIPLE rep points for PawleysDude (except I've given you too many already!).

My sentiments exactly...I want folks like Summering moving to "my" beach, not this "lovely" woman mentioned above.

I didn't want to offend any transplants ... but that was my thoughts exactly .... yesssss go to Arizona or stay in New York ... you definitely won't like it down here. ROFL With us unedgeumacated backward folks that walk around singing "I wish I was in the land of cotton."

Shabby.....You just made me have a big smile.

I don't want any person who has lived here a long time, or forever, to change one thing for me.
I mean that sincerely.
I came here for what this is, for everything MB encompasses, with all its charm and friendly people.
Love SC....Love Myrtle Beach.

So really, someone is judging the Myrtle Beach area by the tiny, little, section called (on TV) Myrtle Manor. That is really ignorant. I did not read the posting but whomever posted that needs to see the vastness of Myrtle Beach.
It would be like judging all of New Jersey by the Jersey Shore show.
Having lived in NJ most of my life I know NJ is not like the show. Been there, lived there, and walked those boardwalks.
So that being said, saying MB is like Myrtle Manor is just making an uneducated guess.
That is one very small section that most of us don't even pass through, ever.

You'd be missing the glamour of the marinas, the stage shows at the Palace theater and Carolina Opry. Also, all the festivals and art shows here and there.
Places like the Gulf Stream and the Dunes restaurant.

Your not overtaxed here which is wonderful. Being greeted with manners all the time is heartening.

Its ok that some don't " get it " because then we have this joy all to ourselves.

The Murells Inlet show has been renamed to 'Party Down South' airs this Thursday on CMT at 10pm.
Also Myrtle Manor airs its second season on Thursday at 10pm on TLC.

Every business owner I know turned them down for filming. Also, being that the show house was so close to Belin Church, many of the members raised hell with Georgetown County. These kids were not from Murrells Inlet and no parent I know that lives there would have let their kids film.

Trash.

There isn't a single kid on the cast from the STATE let alone Murrell's Inlet. They are all from AL, MS, LA or KY. Not a Carolinian in the bunch.

Why the hell did they have to pick SC to film this crap?

Oh, my goodness...based on the Facebook page (see link below), this makes Myrtle Manor actually look classy.
