Not true. She is increasingly unpopular in the Somali community due to what they view as her immoral behavior. It is the white liberals in MNCD5 who support her. You should follow Abdi Osman on Facebook or David Steinberg on Twitter.

Glenfield - be honest. If Ilhan Omar was pro-life would you have taken the time to create this topic?

Yes. This has nothing to do with abortion.

I didn’t support former Republican Congressman Duncan Hunter who plead guilty to doing things that Omar has done: spending campaign money on extra marital affairs. He’ll be sentenced next Tuesday and should serve time for his crimes.

Alright fair enough. I apologize for the accusatory tone. Carry on. And for the record I don’t care for Omar and most specifically her tendency to evade and obfuscate when she is questioned about any of these topics. That to me incriminates her more than anything else that has come through the right-wing conspiracy theory pipeline.

That is the point: she is a fundamentally dishonest person who believes that rules don’t apply to her.

I think if you read the reporting of David Steinberg, Preya Samsundar, and Scott Johnson with an open mind, you would find that there’s a lot more to this than a conspiracy theory. And note that of all the sources I have linked to in this thread, not one would be considered to be right wing.

One of Omar’s apparent supporters offered the comment “pipe down clown.” Typically, they gutlessly left it as an anonymous rep comment rather than being able to muster the meager amount of courage necessary to post it here under an anonymous screen name.

It seems that the truth has struck a nerve.

Irrelevant and an example of the logical fallacy tu quoque. We are discussing Ilhan Omar here. If you want a broader discussion, please visit the P&C forum.

Omar is a career politician. She never really did anything, had any real job, or accomplished anything of any note before politics. She is just a shallow social media big mouth. And she gets paid $175k a year + amazing benefits by you the taxpayer for this.

What really turns me off is how brazen and arrogant she is. OK, here is someone who had the amazing luck of being rescued from a 4th world failed state of Somalia as a refugee to America. Somalia has a per capital GDP that is 25% that of El Salvador....Somalia makes Honduras look like Beverly Hills. It's a failed state of poverty, violence, where they treat women like dogs.

But she shows little gratefulness to be in the USA. All that comes out of her mouth is identity politics, trashing other politicians, calling everyone racist, etc... My relatives who immigrated to the USA kissed the ground they walked on. They were just so grateful to have the opportunity to be here, and honored the people who built this nation they got to prosper in. To see how she acts is just utterly disgraceful. And she only acts this way because it is tolerated and celebrated by the far left socialist America haters that run most of our media and schools.
