$9 burritos and $10 tortas? What a rip off. These are priced at twice the price of Phoenix.

Who made Phoenix the benchmark? Not that there aren't cheaper places but you should suggest an alternative or two if you're going to use two posts to rip someone else's recommendations.

Much better. Now if you want to help the OP, who is from out of town, you might add the locations...

Invincible, There are great places on Cesar Chavez-- I am especially fond of the Lenten enchilada suppers at Our Lady of Guadelupe-- but it's no longer necessary to leave Minneapolis for good, authentic, and, yes, cheap Mexican food. There are places on East Lake St. now that rival anything in St. Paul. You might prefer one and I another but overall the two areas are equals nowadays. The days when the Latino community was largely confined to St. Paul are long gone.

Try maybe I sent that person a PM. La Guadalupana's across the street from El Burrito has the best al pastor in their meat department. Cinco de Mayo on Nicolett and 38th has the best carnitas. Adelita's Bakery on Central and 44th is the best panaderia in the cities.

Anyone that tells you to go to El Loros automatically loses all credibility. Go to Lake Street and try them all.

Everyone I know who has eaten at El Loro loves it. And I'm from Southern California where they know how to make Mexican food.

Anyone who's majority of posts are in the "Syracuse" forum and is named "Toe Jam" loses all credibility.

I am also from Southern California and everyone who says it is great is usually from the mid-west. Since you stated in another thread that you are vegan, what did you eat at El Loro? Did they make a great salad?
