We were there. I must have missed all of it by just minutes because I was walking through the 3rd floor of the mall by the food court at about 3:50pm. Later it took me forever to drive around the mall when I got my car to the bottom of the parking ramp because crowds of people were entering and exiting the mall entrance between Sears and Bloomingdales. I have no idea if any of those people were part of this fight or not. The mall was very busy today being it was the day after Christmas and with so many people off of work and school.

I heard of a Smash and grab flash mob. Young kids running through the mall grabbing stuff from kiosk, stores and peoples bags causing chaos.

I keep reading that rappers Lil Wayne and Drake drew some crazy crowds to the mall

I saw one video of two groups of kids fighting and throwing chairs at eachother

My daughter and her friend were there. They said it was pretty scary. They were coming out of a store and saw about 100 kids running toward them. They said that many of the stores were closing their security gates and the kids were pushing people over, taking things out of their shopping bags, etc. They left the mall as soon as they could once they saw this going on. They were pretty scared.

I'm sure we'll be told that these are just bored teenagers goofing off.

I am sure they were bored teenagers goofing off, but they were still stupid...and those arrested should see some jail time.

When society helps people reproduce without having to make a living (a.k.a. welfare, public assistance, food stamps etc) we get a generation full of low IQ punks.

Now that it's over and everyone's pretty much OK, the big question in my mind: Did Mall Cops get any of this on camera?
