Miami Beach is a trip to live in;especailly at your age. google the clay hotel and the tropics in south beach. The Clay is part hotel/part hostel; droms rooms very reasonable.Youcan also look up the Tropics hostel. Can't go wrong. There is always some kind of work ,,waiter, busboy, just get there and you will see.

Haha, I still have my keys to room 359 at the Clay! What a place that was......met some of the best people ever in my life there and its years later and we are all still all close friends.......and that goes from N.Y. to Sweden to England to Thailand to Australia to Italy...
I hope to make it back down to the beach sometime in a few months, and maybe stay.

First I'll give you some info. I'm 18, graduated from high school in Holland, but not going to college yet this year. I'm working now, to make some money and not die of boredom. But I know I wont be able to keep it up for too long. So I'm thinking of going travelling to the USA, and Miami seems like a great city, has always been one of my faves for some reason (well obvious reasons actually).

But to get to the point, I don't know what I can do in Miami, I mean I must have something to do to meet people and keep me busy, like work. I don't know if it's possible/likely for a foreign guy to get a job in Miami. I also need a place to stay of course.
I speak English pretty fluently so language shouldn't be a problem. Money shouldn't either, I'm not really rich but I have some money to spend. I hope you can help me. All suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance

nooooo

you should come to Pensacola that girls here are lovely and it is like Cali in the 60's beautiful blondes everywhere no crime and the most beautiful beach in FL and in my opinion the world

And USA has my preference so yeah. But thanks anyway, I'll continue looking, maybe I'll find something to my satisfaction.

Miami is not what you think it is obviously ... Miami is like Rio De Janeiro with Haitians

Miami is so not like Rio. Miami is more like any small province in Brazil or Panama City.
