There is a neighborhood in Opa-Locka called the Triangle. That is the place you want to stay out of.

Overtown is pretty bad ... but I would say that Liberty City is worse

Shoot. I don't even like driving thru the area east of the Metro Rail, west of Biscayne, about 12th Street area. I don't know what area that is, but that area is way worse than Liberty City, or Opa-Locka.

Sounds like you're describing Overtown.

I guess it's all about perceptions. I have friends who live very close to NorthWestern High in Liberty City and have been to their homes even at night and never worried. Of course they told me what streets & areas to avoid (pork & beans). I have also been to Overtown at night which is scary but nobody bothered me except for people offering drugs or prostitutes!
Opa Locka is probably the worst.

....female officers know better...

Arresting poor guys after teasing them into fornication, raises their "authoritarian" self esteem.
