Statistically, he’s not far off but fails to take into account the breezes (natural air conditioning) AND partial cloud coverage most of the summer days which makes a HUGE difference—at least on and near the coast. The days without breezes and any clouds are the worst days here—but those days are usually no longer than 2 or 3 consecutive days at most and maybe twice a month, meaning the remaining 24-27 days of the month you and others describe are tolerable bordering on outright enjoyable. It’s almost the direct opposite of a SoCal “Santa Ana”—where you might get 2 three day periods in which warm winds from the desert push temperatures into the 70’s in the winter but the remaining 24-25 days can feel quite chilly.

Another poster brought up mosquitoes….even those are far less of an issue, non factor to be honest, than I originally feared. You should go to Long Island in the summer—not only do you have to deal with mosquitoes but those nasty biting green flies are as bad or worse.
Honestly, I haven't been bitten once down here. Up north there was every kind of thing biting you and worse I got Lyme disease up there which is not as prevalent down here. And I didn't get the bulls eye rash so I went undetected for four years!

Just drove to the beach, did a walk, and now back at my desk working. Can't really beat this.

I'm inland by the Dadeland Mall. There is no breeze here. I can't wait until October/November!

I was in the Gables the other day. It was hot! I live in Edgewater, the breeze makes a difference.

Don't get me wrong! I love it here! The summer was not nearly as bad I had feared. It flew by and now we are close to transitioning to the best weather! I never was excited like this up north!

I love it here too but usually by the end of August I'm hoping for some cooler weather.

here you go > https://weatherspark.com/h/y/18622/2...igures-Summary

keep in mind...Miami's thermometer is at the far west end of the airport.....completely surrounded by asphalt

...it can be wildly inaccurate
