I been almost everywhere in the US and yes is true that Miami is starting to behave like most big cities. We have beaches, weather, very good looking people if you are ugly don't even bother to go clubbing in some clubs, if the latinos here don't behave like in other parts of the usa maybe is because most of the upper class from Mexico down to Argentina makes Miami their second home, sorry but if sombreros and burritos are what you are expecting stay in Calimexico.

rafael000,
many upper class people even in california arent arrogant jerks.
things are there is alot more respect and professionalism in LA than miami.
miami is a bunch of people pretending they have more money than they do.
ive seen things many many times greater in LA for very little.
for example when i was out in socal during xmas my dad's company christmas party was held at the ronald reagan presidential library. there was free champagne and we had dinner under reagan's old airforce one plane that was suspended from the ceiling of the museum. they had tours that guided you through the interior and told you about the history. this was all paid for by the company he works for. my dad doesnt work for a super rich company either he just happens to work for a private company that treats their employees well. regardless, that is an experience i could never have here in miami.
i used to go to the getty center museum in LA and see many many works of art for only the price of parking. http://www.getty.edu/
most people in miami treat art as though it is an elitist thing.
people in miami seem more concerned with chasing after status than actually appreciating the finer things in life.

i see people here in miami walking around trying to wear their best trying to prove to everyone they have money. i find that really pathetic, sad and superficial.
oh and california girls are much more beautiful and arent the plastic surgery disasters i see all over the place here in miami.
i do like your beaches and weather here better and the fact you have wonderful fresh fruits, vegetables and seafood which somehow never make it into your grocery stores because you dont have a sophisticated population to appreciate them. you have to go find them yourself off krome avenue in the redlands. the access to fresh food is unparalleled but apparently no one here makes much use of it. chefs in LA would die for access to the stuff but the potential goes wasted here.

Theres no comparing Miami to Los Angeles.

L.A. is the second largest city in the United States, BIGGER THAN NY IN LAND AREA and one of the largest in the world in population and land area and Miami in reality is small.

The two cities are nothing alike.
Miami imitates a big city while Los Angeles is truly a big city. In Miami theres beaches hotels in restaurants in Los Angeles theres the same along with the music industry, the movie, industry, the porn industry, the busiest shipping port in the world, and much more diversity than Miami could ever offer.

Aside from that Los Angeles is a much faster pace and Miami is slow. You still have to go fifty on the few expressways they have in MIA and they actually post 40 as an okay minimum speed.

Put it to rest.

L.A. restaurants are better
L.A. people are more sophisticated
L.A. drivers are more skillful
L.A. is much more culturally diverse.

IF WE COULD TAKE THE BEACHES OF FLORIDA AND THE WEATHER WITH THE EXCEPTIONS OF THE HURRICANES AND HUMIDITY AND DROP EM ON THE WEST COAST LIFE WOULD BE A BOWL OF CHERRIES.

LA is so better for hispanics than Miami that:

1. Most hispanic concerts are in LA
2. Celebrities are buying much more properties in LA than in Miami
3. The beach is so clear and the sand is so white in LA
3. LA is the capital of the Sun
4. Women in LA are much more beautiful
5. LA as a hispanic capital has not been replaced by Miami at all.
6. Shakile O'neal is desperate to go to LA and he won't spend millions in Downtown Miami.

Give me abreak!!!

If things continue the way the are then Hollowood studios will move to Florida.

You summed it up, Miami is for hispanics and LA is for Americans. As for those of you who do not like hurricanes, that's something I actually like about Miami, but they don't get enough to be more prudent as to properly build. Hollywood is in California because that state has diverse scenery, and can represent many different areas in movies while Florida is either superficial cities, theme parks or the old south. Florida is flat, nothing to see there. Miami is and always had been a buccaneer town, where money flows like water, but few of the residents ever get their hands on it.

Florida is Flat, nothing to see there. However, I see your location is Key Largo. Everybody is moving to Florida. Miami is not the best place in the US but you have to accept that it is becoming one of the biggest cities in th US. LA is for Americans?. Come on!!!. There are more mexicans there than in Mexico City. Start accepting the reality. People is rude in Miami, it is true.

Well I was born and raised in Miami, and go there quite often. Have seen many changes, and none of them good. Miami was better than LA but now both cities are totally ruined.

yeah LA has tons of mexicans but unlike most of the latins here they arent all a-hole racist jerks, work their asses off with everyone else, and get along with everyone. an immigrant can actually build a life in LA, they can only go deeply into debt or barely survive on government aid in miami.
