Mayor of NYC has a wish list of potential sites on LI to house migrants including Francis S. Gabreski Air National Guard Base on Moen Street in Westhampton Beach, Pilgrim Psychiatric Center on Crooked Hill Road in Brentwood, and the former Kings Park Psychiatric Center in Nissequogue River State Park.

Hochul has put kibosh on forcing local areas outside of NYC to take on migrants, so matter may end up being settled by courts.

At the risk of stating the obvious, actually operating the Southern border rationally would have forestalled this entire problem. Biden owns it.

It’s beginning to look like she and Adams don’t like each other just like the Cuomo/Deblasio feud.

Curran would probably welcome them with open arms. Bellone should be louder on this issue. I think he is scared to speak as he is term limited and wants to keep a low profile as to not hurt the D chances in November. Every time I see mayor “swagger” complain I laugh. NYC voted for this it’s there problem not the surrounding counties.

Well, if Adams’ gets his way regarding housing for ‘migrants’ it won’t be just a NYC problem.

And folks who voted Biden actually created this self-inflicted national migrant crisis. Once in a blue moon the media slip and notes Biden’s responsibility regarding the porous southern border (and then resumes Trump coverage).

Still Im a bit surprised that a politician is working for his voters. Doesnt happen often. Good job Blakeman.

I keep seeing them called migrants, which means workers who move from place to place, often for agriculture jobs.

I can't see NYC needing to deal with that.

Is the topic actually immigrants, people who have come from a different country?

The proper term is “illegals”. Or “fraudulent asylum claimants” if you prefer
