I’m just shell shocked that our own government is just going to let this keep going. I mean when it the end game here ? Do they have a certain number of illegals in their heads to when they crack down and stop this madness? Or does or just keep going and going until the US is officially bankrupt.
For the Dems they just see them as poor future impoverished D voters, the more that come in the better, they figure one day they will get some sort of amnesty passed with a path to citizenship and they will have millions and millions more voters reliant on the government. So why in the world would they ever try to stop this or even slow it down?
As for the old what’s left of the slowly dying old school GOP? Their donors want the cheap labor they can pay slave wages to.

Even when democrats has majority in senate, House and a POTUS (Obama comes to mind) they still couldn't get any sort of major immigration laws done. All Obama could do was create that GD "Dreamers" program that Trump tried to kill.
Only way for democrats to get major immigration reform done, including "ammnesty", path to citizenship, or whatever is if they have control of WH *and* huge super majority in senate ( > 59 seats) and House. Good luck with that.

Highly unlikely to happen anytime in the near future given the senate maps in '24 and '26 are stacked against the dems. Probably a higher chance of Republicans eliminating it first if they win a trifecta.
