New York - Union Ironworker salary

Again I made no statement against what the poster earns, as I said he chose well and has a good salary. I only stated that with union wages that's why manufacturing looks elsewhere. It's just a fact that labor costs are higher in NY and it hurts business investment.

I have a vacation house in Vermont and none of the local labor is unionized.

Also, all of the manufacturing jobs have moved away, overseas or elsewhere.

I don't think correlation and causation are necessarily linked in many issues surrounding our economy.

Not 70k, I said topping out as well. We get $17.50 every hour for vacation which you can cash every week. That's a salary in itself. And 10$ a hour in topping out. Which is a fund that you can basically take out in a emergency. There are many ways to take it out just to do it though.

How do you take it out if you're not injured, unemployed, or dead? I am trying to buy a house but they won't allow me to take it out.
