More than infuriating. Absolutely sick and dishonest. It's a shame there are people in this state that believe in our big fat loser of a Governor. The guy on the left is the epitome of what is wrong with our pension system and the amendment that enables it.

It's so ironic that the Governor would approve (endorse, actually) an ad featuring the Poster Child of why IL's pension system is such a debacle. Talk about tone-deaf; lucky for JB he inherited his fortune: "Would you buy a used car from this man?"

I mailed in my ballot yesterday, with a big 'ol "NO" on the supposed Fair Tax. I want the idiots who keep voting these clowns in to "pay their fair share" of the mess they created by doing so - keep the tax flat and jack up everyone's rate to seven or eight percent, pay off fifty percent of the pension debt, then lower the real estate tax rate to one percent, and limit that by statute. THEN maybe IL can begin its slow recovery.

I'm going for early voting this week. I want to give the middle finger to the Dems and all their harmful proposals in person and not via mail. I'm voting straight Republican again.

This reminds me of my Exelon days, the hired Sam Skinner (Former republiCON presidential staffer) to a officer of the company and then gave him 35 years (for full pension) vesting. It happens in the private sector too! And it sucks, it’s pretty much all upper echelon positions (superintendents) that get that kind of deal. The rank and file as a rule don’t benefit from this abuse. And like exelon, I wouldn’t sabotage a whole pension system for a few bad apples.
Ruiner gave his chief of education s sweet pension bump even though he is on the far less generous tier 2 pension, Ruiner made up for it. So much for pension reform.

A one off payment/bonus is fine. An annuity for life when we're hundreds of billions in debt is another story. All pensions fail in time. Just give it time and Exelon's will too.
