This will be more than one and the pictures were taken with the camera on my cell phone It's enroute between Idaho Falls and Heise. Don't have winter shots yet.

i KNOW I AM A LITTLE OLD TO THIS FORUM... NEVER BEEN ON THESE BEFORE- BUT HUSBAND IS THINKING OF TRANSFERRING OUT TO BOISE POLICE DEPT. I WANT A FAMILY TOWN- I AM NOT LDS- SO I WANT TO BE ABLE TO FIT IN WITH MY KIDS- THEY ARE 3 AND 5. I JUST WANT OUT OF VEGAS- A GOOD SUBURB TO RAISE FAMILIES- FRIENDLY THINGS TO DO- CLOSE TO SHOPPING- EVEN IN ANOTHER CITY- REASONABLE PRICES FOR HOUSES- 250k NEWER AREA... I KNOW I ASK ALOT- NEVER BEEN TO IDAHO- HOW BAD IS THE WINTER? ALL THESE PICTURES ARE GREAT- I WILL HAVE TO SEARCH FOR MORE! ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT! This is of the center of a roundabout in Idaho Falls. It's on the west side of town near Walmart. With the eagles and the waterfall it's beautiful in winter. I'll take a picture again when it freezes.

WOW! Its lovely there!! I haven't seen that much green in a long time! No brown dead grass and scrub trees like TX! Ha. (That's why I miss my home in CO)

So let me ask this: is Idaho an outdoors state like CO only minus the 14K mnts? You can go anywhere and do anything all over CO. Very few restricted areas.
As opposed to TX where there is nothing to do outdoors, and not just due to hot weather- but any place here worth hiking or fishing at is on private property-only the owners have access to those locales.
(Thus is it any wonder that the south-esp Texans-are the most overweight Americans according to all data? LOL we'e got nowhere to go and nothing to do but stay indoors-shop and eat! HA ;-) sad but true. )

does anyone have any pictures of Eagle area.. or some nice family oriented towns in Boise area... i want to see what everyday life is like there? we will be visiting in september- not quite sure where we will explore- but have been searching online to find a nice town- with some shopping nearby?? newer shopping centers that have that outdoor small town shops?? or old navy i am fine with too! lol anything will be great!!
