Hi,

I just making a beef stew from a pot roast. I use onion soup and thicken it to a brown gravey. All in my crockpot. Last week it was Lima beans and hamhocks.

Got to thinking...Are there any traditional Idaho recipes out there. Something that could go in a crockpot or a holiday recipe, dessert...winter comfort foods?

Okay, I'd have to agree with that, but I love love potato skins with cheddar cheese, bacon crumbled up and ranch dressing

I'm also known for throwing a mock tender roast in the crock with carrots and potatoes.

I've had my stew...so now one of us is going down to Starbucks for a Carmel Fappericono. Can't spell it but it is good. Of course, cream base, no coffee. Extra Carmel and whip cream Our friday night treat.

Okay, I have to admit I've never had a deer steak I can't help it...I keep seeing bambi. My dad was a big live off the land guy. But my mom was all city. I grew up with mom. My dad would wait until after my visit to kill any of the farm animals.

I'm cooking bacon, pancakes, and potatoes fried in onions and bacon drippings for dinner. No we are not on a diet...should be...I'll feel bad about it later.

Don't forget the butter and eggo syrup.
