fun in the sun,
We are 2 hours north of Boise. It is absolutly Gods country and growing fast. We are were the Tamarack Ski Resort is at. You have too like the snow and not being close to any major shopping. Theres not much here but, the great outdoors, we just kind of landed here and bought a fixer upper and work was not plentiful we could never finish our house to sale. We are now done and ready to sale.
Have you been up north like Couer de' Alene or Sandpoint? We were up that way a few weeks ago and it is very pretty still snow but nice. One thing most people say when they move here OH love the snow then usually after the first year there house is up for sale and moving to drier land. Snow areas unless you have someone else too maintain it for you is not easy to live in or drive. If you think the kids will help well that lasted until teen years and girlfriends. Enjoy your day.

Smile Snow

Well, were I am you get snow usually from Oct 31 to May by June 1st its melting can get alittle long for some. We just go to Boise and see the grass and bay newborn animals to get a taste of spring. Most of Idaho besides Sun Valley area and possibly North I don't think gets as much for as long.

Also, its not just alittle 5-6 ft and you can go out a shovel somedays and your right back out there. During the holidays its fun and excepted. Just have to try and keep shovels close at hand and hope the plow guy doesn't get too busy.

But, if you love to ski, snowboard, snowshoe, snowmobling & anything else that has snow in it Snowmen & Snowwoman its the place to be!!

Thanks for all the snow input, both my husband and I have never really been around alot of snow, dont know if I like the shoveling part. All my kids are grown and live elsewhere, so we would have to shovel. Would love a white Christmas but having snow till May is a bit much.

Default Snow and more Snow

Fun in the sun I hear ya, when we were looking here they told us it melted by Mar-April and like others we thought okay can handle that not even relizing the work it is to live in it. Great to visit and play but, it gets heavy and your whole life seems to be getting ready for winter.
I was passing a man and lady in the store the other day and "he asked her ready for winter" ,she told him" NO and he replied "what have you been doing all summer". We just had no idea what it was like at 5-6 ft for 6-7 months. Our kids are about grown and then, we are out of it.
But, there is nothing better then a white christmas then it can start melting!!!
