And they are crammed way too close together to justify the price, in my opinion. Too bad, because the concept Verdae is going for (TND) is a great one.

I guess they justify the price and its true what they say "location, location, location"
I believe the crammed houses is related to the theme of a city neighborhood. Seems like there are plenty of buyers.
Seems like this kind of living is popular with former city dwellers. Verdmont in Simpsonville sold out fairly quickly but the ambitious Griffith Park, also in Simpsonville, went belly up due to poor management and bad timing.
As far as the spacing goes, I really don't mind it. I thought I did...back when my wife and I bought our first house 3 years ago I thought I wanted more land. I grew up on 2 acres a little "out there" in NC and didn't want to settle for the small lots some of these places like Veradae have. Now, 3 years later and I am kind of tired of the .4 acre lot we got: it's nothing but yard work and a place for the dog to do her business :P I would gladly live at Veradae or somewhere closer to downtown on a smaller lot and be closer to the things we go to downtown all the time.
