I'm looking for suggestions for a casual, inexpensive lunch place not far from Verdae. My home inspector is coming down from Raleigh to do our inspection for us, and we want to take him out to lunch. My husband does not like to spend much, however, and so many of the chain places are kind of expensive for lunch. There's always soup, salad, and breadsticks at Olive Garden, but I don't think my son would like that. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I was just searching for places on Woodruff near there, and came across Cheddar's. Never eaten there before, but I think posters here have recommended it, correct? Looks like that could fit the bill. I'll still take other suggestions!

Cheddars is pretty good, pretty inexpensive and you get a lot of food.

I don't know what your idea of expensive is but Carrabas isn't all that expensive in my view if you get lasagna and a drink, or something like that.

Thanks; husband doesn't like Italian though. Del's Twisted Kitchen looks like a possibility.

Carolina Ale House isn't too pricey.

Love Greenfield's, Art! We went there on our first trip to Greenville, and Robin made us feel right at home. That was actually the first place that came to mind, but I was also trying to see if there were other places that I wasn't aware of.

Tablefields is a great little place, and inexpensive. It's in the same shopping center as Cheddars.

Problem. Solved.
