The Cheesecake Factory isn't Southern and is rude.

Well to me the most illogical thing is going to the Cheesecake factory when you come from California. That's like going to North Carolina from Miami and ordering Pollo Tropical.

Does where you lived and occasionally visit begin with a 'Y'? That would explain the long strange trip you've been on from the Republic of Vanuatu

But my point is, why go somewhere that you "wouldnt even dare take your boss to" over a place that's reputable, and you not what you're getting, and you know the food is good, although not a locally owned place, but a franchise.

Stop and think for just one second what I'm saying Com - EVERYONE knows the best authentic food is not from big chain stores - I will give you an analogy you can appreciate - NC is southern with great southern food - collard greens and ham hocks may not be your cup of tea, but I would rather get them in that off the beaten track place that grandma is the chef than in the Waffle House. I would not invite my boss to eat that way unless of course he asked. My love, if all you have been too are the big name stores you are sooooooo missing out on really good food - dives do not always equal good food BUT big chains don't either and truth be told, I would go to neither without bein suggested to it.

Because - Cheesecake factory isn't a place to get 5$ lunches - I'm thinking more of a take out spot than a sitdown place - I'm not knocking cheesecake factory - if you lived in NY before you would understand what I mean. NOOOOO, I'm not saying that makes us better but we just have those options and I'm looking for that as an option. Also, in regards to pizza - I personally think Rizzo's in Astoria is the Best pizza ever - but we have our share of really bad pizza here too.

I have heard it said that the pizza is different in Florida (all over) because of the water there. It is very hard - that is the truth, but I don't know that it can change the taste of the pizza - good pizza is good pizza and bad pizza is bad no matter where you are from.

Hard water to affect the taste of pizza? That's interesting, but I guess it could be, I have not a clue. But the water in FL definitely tastes bad, so I could see that.
