Who is the wimp??????
No, what that shows is that everybody has a different tolerance of what they think is hot and cold. Just because 1 person isn't cold, that doesn't mean that nobody can be cold.

Default Who's complaining?

[quote=Mike Peterson;12292928]Attention to those living in Florida that do not want to be here so they continually rant about everything and anything whenever they get a chance.

A low of 28 with a high of 45 is farking cold. I realize that it can't always be above 80 as I would like but 28 degrees is cold.[/quote

Certainly, not ME. 28 isn't cold to me. 45? Balmy. Anyway, in blissful Naples it isn't as cold as that anyway. Go SOUTH, young man.

4O feels different in FL than it does 4O in MI. It has to be 40 or under for me to even think about wearing a sweatshirt up there, but at 50-55 here in FL I'm still freezing with a thermal undershirt, and a Carhartt coat on.

Actually it is a fact that most times in FL when its 30 or 40, it does feel colder than it does in most other places. It was on the news here tonight (Daytona) and actually has something to do with the humidity. I am not complaining though. I love these below freezing nights and highs in the 40's and wish it would stay like this till Easter!

And yes, cold is probaby relative. I have a brother who lives in Minneapolis and wants to move back to PA for the mild winter climate!

Interesting that you think that because I feel the opposite up north because the SUN is stronger in Florida, even when it is 40 degrees, that it is in northern climates.

Considering we could possibly break low record temperatures, this is cold for FL standards.

That and the fact that a majority of Florida is under a Freeze Warning and a Hard Freeze Warning last night, tonight ,and possibly tomorrow night.

It's all relative, noodles. When someone moves to Florida they expect warmth and sunshine.

Oh Chelsa,
Few people up north could afford to heat their homes up to 72 degrees.....68 is normal, but many folks can only keep their homes up to 65 or less. We are at 12 degrees this morning.....it's normal for us.

I do feel for my Florida friends, I do know it's cold for you, and hope the crops, etc are not hurt too bad. My neighbors laughed at me when I insulated my incomming water line and my sprinkler shut offs, saying it NEVER gets that cold down here Frank, you gotta stop thinking like a northerner.......

I'm glad I did.

Frank
