Many well written views.

Of course, it is cold in Florida right now. Anything not normal is abnormal, and it is currently abnormally COLD in Florida.

Here in NY, 11 degrees is about normal for us......so in a weird way, it is more abnormally cold right now in Florida then up here. I hope my plants and citrus trees will be ok.

I've always believed that since there is nothing we can do about the weather, I'll try not to complain about it. We should certainly not ARGUE about it.

So...we should all chill out about it..... Sorry, I could not resist......

Wherever you are, in NY or in Florida, we are more blessed then probably 90% of the world. The fact that we are all sitting in front of an internet hooked up computer proves that. Enjoy! I think I'll get the fireplace going and make some hot chocolate.......

Frank

I lived in NJ all my life and went out in short sleeves as soon as it hit 60. At 65, I was on the patio in shorts and a tank top as long as it wasn't windy. And this is coming from a person who was always cold.

Amen.

But then I see the temps in my hometown in NJ, and the temps here seem a lot warmer.

This thread shouldn't be directed to "all Floridians", the panhandle will get down into the teens tomorrow night. When pipes start bursting because they're frozen it's cold dammit! http://www.smileyshut.com/smileys/new/natale3.gif (broken link)

Kathy - I don't think that is the norm - I think most will agree 60's can be chilly - now if it was 30 the day before yes it feels warm but if you go from 80 to 60 it is a bit chilly - IMO at least! It is 72 in my house and I'm freezing

My husband had the heat at 68 last night. He was shivering and I was sweating. I even got from under the covers at night. He weighs 225 lbs. I weigh 105 lbs. Right now, he is in sweat pants, short sleeve shirt, AND a sweatshirt. I am in jeans and a tshirt. Yeah right. You body adjust to Florida's weather. lol

I`m a wimp. This is cold! Four days of very cold weather here is something I have never seen in 50 years or at least I don`t remember. To not remember is a strong possibility, but seriously, I will take hot days over cold days. I`ll be glad when it is over.
