is this what they call the Biden effect?

Published Apr. 26, 2024

Florida Republicans break unprecedented 900,000 voter lead over Democrats after Biden’s visit

"TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – In the same week that President Joe Biden campaigned in Tampa and opened his first Florida field office in Hillsborough County, the Republican Party of Florida reached an unprecedented milestone further enshrining the state’s perception of being “red.”"

"As of April 26, registered Republicans outnumber Democrats by 900,497, according to data compiled by Florida’s Voice. The shift happened in the days following Biden’s Tuesday visit."

Considering how far left the Democratic Party has moved, this is a sigh of relief.

I'm pretty sure it's mostly people from Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi & Louisiana that have 2nd homes & friends in Florida that want to vote here instead of their reliably Republican districts back home. However, watch for those reliably red states become pink to purple in the next few cycles. Georgia is just the beginning.

The Democratic Party has moved as far left as the Republican Party has moved right. I think the Republican Party has a 5 year head start in their rank and file. Democratic left is still fringe, the Republican right is running the party.

MAGAs rejoice!

State Republicans put Florida back in play due their abortion/women's healthcare stance and archaic views on recreational marijuana. Dems wouldn't waste valuable time and resources if they didn't see a path. People much smarter than you and I spend many hours presenting this data to campaigns.

Amendment 4 certainly ups the ante quite a bit. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Actually I think it is conservatives in the Northeast that are moving there. I have a lot of conservative friends that have either moved to Florida or are planning to. Very different from who used to move to Florida from NY, NJ, CT, etc.

That’s exactly what it is.
