usually they are either grossly out of shape....or morbidly obese....or both....some with health problems

healthy people in shape are not complaining about the "heat" they are enjoying being outside almost every day

The same. We had horrible humidity up north in the summer, with temps over 90 for several days in a row, and I couldn't stand it there. I certainly can't stand it here for weeks on end. Autumn in New England is my favorite climate. Crisp cool (not chilly) days when the sun is still warm on your skin, brisk nights where you need a sweatshirt and light jacket. I'm not a fan of extreme weather, at all. Summers in Florida are hell on my osteoarthritis. I haven't felt any pain in the past couple of weeks - but come this spring, I'll be wishing I was able to have my hip replacement already.

Florida lobsters even LOOK like cockroaches.

And their meat is - okay, but if you've spent most of your life enjoying north atlantic lobsters, you might as well just eat langostinos and call it a day.

I'm active on the water... and these two other activities produce outstanding sea food. To really enjoy Florida you have to get out and enjoy the water and weather. First one is Stone Crabs and then Scallops. Stone Crabs are by far the best tasting.

What two months are so hot? I've lived here on and off since the 60's and our summers are getting longer and hotter. Used to be June-September were really bad but the last few years the hot, humid weather started in April and didn't get "cool" until November.

OP - you will likely spend many months cooped up in the A/C because of the heat and humidity. Oh, and don't forget the hurricanes. My area was hit with Hurricanes Irma in 2017 and Hurricane Ian last year. I still see tarps on lots of roofs. Florida is not the dream you're hoping for. The pay is lousy, the weather sucks 8 months out of the year and the housing costs are becoming out of reach for the everyday people who live here. Lots of people are leaving Florida and I'm one of them. As soon as my house sells, I'm out of here.

Do your research before you make this move. Serious research.

That is for sure. 90's into Nov and nothing like the colder weather we had in the 80's when Tampa had 19f to 24f year after year. 70 years out it will be like the ME area of the world with temps over 100f and no more rain for the west coast. Never had a cane in my 60 years here.
