Harvest season in most of Florida is from January to April, some in May and June. July and August are mostly fallow (basically our winter) and the new planting season starts again in September-November.

Thousands have temporary work permits, & are bussed in for harvest, & kept in migrant housing near the crops in remote rural areas. Automation is taking the place of pickers too.

The crops will get harvested, and Governor Ron will keep as many illegals out as possible to combat DC's disregard for our nations laws.

The majority of Americans want the invasion at our Southern border stopped:

People who choose to go to a place and choose to take a job are not slaves. They are going to these places and taking these jobs because these jobs pay better than what they can otherwise find.
By your logic Americans who move to another state to work are slaves.

You're talking out of both sides of your mouth. Desantis clearly doesn't want any illegal immigrants here and has never said except for. Beyond that the immigrants are making the choice for themselves and many are leaving the state altogether to go to states not openly hostile to their presence. I gleefully await the fallout from this when those all so hot for this happening encounter supply chain issues here in FL.

I don't know who is the more rabidly ignorant.....the people that write this crap....or the ones that fall for it

The two main crops in July are citrus and watermelon....with a total labor pool of ~80,000

Every one of those laborers belong to the 2 major Ag unions....Farm Bureau or Farmworker Association

...the union members will not allow non-union labor to compete with them...and it would be a waste of time to even try it....they would still be paid exactly what the union members are paid

Good try. You obviously dont live in FL. Theres thousands of laborers here on visas that come to work and send their money home. Its been going on for decades and decades.

What difference does it make if many/most opt out or leave the state altogether?
