I just found this thread this morning and I have to thank everyone who's contributed - so many good laughs first thing in the morning! Riley's "slips a French by me" had me laughing out loud!

Our house has been home to many of our own dogs and even more fosters who came to us with questionable backgrounds. Dog kisses on the face (cheeks and chin) are just fine by me and although the occasional slip of the tongue is not welcome, I view it as a risk that just comes with the territory of all the loving we get from our furry friends.

Yes, they sniff on other dogs pee, eat poop, and lick their own... you know.
How someone would find this kind of affection appealing??
BTW: I do love dogs, but not that.
Yet many humans engage in all sorts of oral sex and kink, including pee, poop and licking....you know.

I kiss my dog's cute, cold little nose all the time. LOL And I let him lick my face (cheeks and chin basically) a little bit. I don't especially like getting licked on the face, but I don't see the harm in it, so I let him a little bit.

I had over 15 dogs in my lifetime and all of them gave their daddy kisses, even those that snacked out of the litter box.
