"We had a caretaker that wasn't taking care, that's what happened," Richman said. "He loves dogs - he loves these animals. Those dogs are practically his family."
Yea, cause that's exactly how you treat your family. You leave them alone for two months without checking on them or ensuring that they are being cared for.
Then when the police contact your lawyer to let you know about the conditions and that your family members aren't being fed or given water, you claim that the you never got the message. Come on, give me a break.
Just another fine example of an upstanding role model for young kids to look up to and emulate.
The guy is just so sad. Pit bulls and guns. Wow, he is so tough and cool.
This is just another sorry excuse for a human being. I hope Sheriff Joe and the Maricopa County Prosecutor press charges and that he gets what he deserves. Not that in these cases the punishment ever really fits the crime, but we can always hope.
This is getting ridiculous. Now I'm thinking that this Pit Bull fighting stuff is everywhere and happening more then I first thought. How very sad for these poor dogs. It's just sickening.

It's just crazy. Right after Vick, it seemed like everybody is doing that.
from what I've been learning at work it's nothing new, we're just experiencing the very tip of it. A guy I work with is from Lousiana and he did this crap as a kid and so did everyone else he grew up with. He wasn't as bad as these two pieces of garbage, but he gets me VERY mad everytime he brings it up.. He doesn't see it as a big deal and considers them just dogs. I told him I'd rather he died than one of these "just dogs"..

Would you please explain why you believe your friend, who did this same "crap" is not "garbage", but Vick and the other individual are? It appears that you friend is "garbage" too. What makes your friend any better then them?
He's a coworker, not a friend.. He knows full well that I think what he did is stupid, but it was something he did over 20 years ago.. also, he at least took care of his dog and didn't do it for gambling. I guess it was a status symbol thing with the kids in the neighborhood as far as whose dog was the toughest.
edit- ok, this somehow seems like I'm sticking up for him, but I'm not. However, please note the word coworker and how it's usually not a good idea to beat someone down while you're at work...
