My dear friend, Eldad will shortly be leaving CA and moving to another state where he will undoubtedly be rescuing many more dogs. California will miss him terribly.

Fiona was just appreciating every second of help she was getting. Yes! Shave off my hair with fleas! Yes! Give me a bath! She had the surgery and has a home, right?
Yes, she has a home. I met her "dad" (and Fiona) this past weekend. He was a very nice guy.
She went from the mean streets of South LA to a very loving home where she can live out the rest of her years (she's estimated to be about 11 y.o.). Talk about a lucky dog!

Aw, you got to hug her in person! She is a lucky dog. Shame, shame on whoever threw her out just because she is old and needed extra help. Makes me wonder what people like that do to their human loved ones who are old and sick. Thanks for the post!
My yellow lab/husky was in a kill shelter that he had found as a food source. One morning the employees say tis beautiful dog running around playing with the peacocks. He was starving, dying of heartworm, disheveled, skin and bones, filthy and terribly independent. Taking a leash to walk him was taking my life in my hands. But, dog reactive as he was, he never bit me, another dog or anything. He is rather fond of a chipmunk or two now and again, but at 9, (rescued him at 6), and after vast vet bills and hours and hours of training, I now have the very best dog I've ever known! pictures forthcoming as soon as I figure out how to post pictures here.
