Here, close to the foothills of Loveland, it is definitely snowing. Calling for 2+ inches and, if it keeps snowing the way it is right now, that calculation will be close to right. Fortunately, the snow isn't sticking to sidewalks or drive, but definitely to everything else.

First 'decent' snow of the winter here in Alamosa today. 3+ inches. That brings our total to around 10 inches for the entire winter. Pitiful!

Well, our northern Colorado weather is definitely making a change. Winter/Snow........no way! Today, high of 70, Friday 66, Saturday 75 and Sunday 77. It will be some 20 degrees above normal here. In fact, so warm, the boat ramps are opening at Boyd Lake State Park tomorrow (Friday). Away with the concrete barriers and cones. But, the lake water will be very, very cold. Was told by Boyd Lake State Park employee that all of the ice on the lake has melted.

Our boat sure isn't ready for the lake yet. Summerization will be done in May, after Mother's Day Weekend. We've seen it snow, and stick, on Mother's Day Weekend, and plenty of snow.

A sizable front has rolled through Mesa County this afternoon. Temps will be in the 55 to 60 degree range for a couple days. Not much in Fruita but GJ saw a good soaking and the Grand Mesa will get snow out of this, hopefully a lot! Snow on the Bookcliffs and also Glade Park. GOOD!!

Whew!! Three inches of snow this morning in Fruita this morning?? Yeow! Suits me just fine! And it's still coming down too! And it will be more than three inches in the mountains this morning. Yesterday afternoon the winds were really howling so at least we got some good moisture out of this. It's pretty unusual for Mesa County to get snow on April 12th but not unheard of. Anyhoo, eight to twelve inches is forecast in the high country.

Good morning brightdoglover! How much snow came down in Ridgway this morning?

Mesa County saw their last storm regarding snow--maybe. A front that came in 3 parts brought 4-5 inches of snow on Grand Mesa, steady rain in the GJ area for last night for a couple hours. And we needed it.
