I thought I would share this information with you all, as I find it all very exciting, and I'm sure you all will too!

Here is 3CDC's December 2011 monthly report. The status of all projects under construction and planned for 2012 is discussed. The occupancy rates for 3CDC's residential and commercial units that were built it 2011 are also discussed.

DunnhumblyUSA has outgrown it's headquarters already, and is looking for more space downtown. The proposed new tower at 5th and Race and the planned office tower at the Banks were given as possible choices!

The level of investment in OTR and Downtown in this economy is pretty impressive!

If there is enough interest in the thread, perhaps we could keep it updated as new projects come along so we have a place to discuss them all. Thoughts?

I hope the city builds a couple statues someday of the original leaders of 3CDC. Those guys are true trailblazers and risk takers.....and they're not afraid to stick their neck outs when they believe in something.

I completely agree. They have done tremendous work in this city despite all the naysayers, and our city is a noticably better place because of 3CDC.

In other news, work will begin on the casino's outdoor plaza soon.

Great thread. There are so many things going on in the city and it's great to see the progress. Some additional things:

A few restaurants pulled out of The Banks, but there were a few more to take their place:

Mahogany’s coming to Banks | Cincinnati.com | cincinnati.com

The Morlein House is opening soon:

Hardman offers preview of Moerlein Lager House | Cincinnati.com | cincinnati.com

There's a great article on UrbanCincy about the growth of downtown and all of the things going on (hotel occupancy up, 3CDC, World Choir Games):

I don't know if anyone else has seen this, but it's a great project. OTR Adopt takes abandoned buildings and gives them to new owners for little to no cost. A great way to get more buildings in OTR rehabbed:

Good additions! The progress really is amazing. I have made a more comprehensive list, but I'll have to wait until later this week to post it.

In other news, U Square at the Loop, the $78 million development near UC will break ground this week or next!

I agree. With all of the momentum already at the Banks, and with phase II starting construction before this summer, I think chosing the 5th and Race site would be a mistake.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse coming to the Banks.

UrbanCincy

All the apartments but 2 are leased, and the retail space is now 82% leased!

Frankly, I feel a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is a little too upscale for the Banks. I don't expect it to last there long.

If the endeavor was another Jeff Ruby operation I would give it more credibility, as he seems able to balance the fare and cost with the location.
