Water birth is awesome.
I didn't birth in the tub but I spent many hours of labor there. If you're interested in that, I'd look into a facility that offers it. I was in Atlanta at a local hospital but I would have preferred a birth center if one had been available. As it was I drove by 4 or 5 other hospitals to go to the one that had a birthing tub.
I would assume Austin would offer more options than most places. Have you been on the mothering.com site in their "find a tribe" area? That's how I found out a lot of stuff when I was pregnant. Good luck and I hope you have the birth experience you want.

I didn't birth in the tub but I spent many hours of labor there. If you're interested in that, I'd look into a facility that offers it. I was in Atlanta at a local hospital but I would have preferred a birth center if one had been available. As it was I drove by 4 or 5 other hospitals to go to the one that had a birthing tub.
