I hear there is lot of corruption in Brazil and Argentina could that be why there is a lot of poverty and social inequality?

What happen to Brazil and Argentina that they not like Sweden or Denmark and other first world countries?

Also the government seems really poor and have very little money unlike first world countries.

And same problem in Brazil and Argentina is in Mexico.

Also was it the Spanish and Portuguese where different than the US, Australia and Canada where they exploit the resources and send all the resources and money back to their country. Where the US, Australia and Canada set up colonies so lot of the low income and middle income moved to the US, Australia and Canada and set up colonies and work there.

Where in Brazil, Mexico and Argentine it was just land owners and slaves working on say plantation and mining. Unlike the British and a French that set up colonies and people moved there and worked there.

So in way the economy of Brazil, Mexico and Argentine was base on slaved workers working on plantation and mining. Where US, Australia and Canada was base on people moving there and setting up colonies and working there and living there.

Sorry to bust your bubbles. But French colonies are a far greater failure than spanish and Portuguese colonies. Argentina like the United States is a settler colony and not a plantation one like Cuba or Brazil or Haiti. The Anglosphere is pretty successful. Usa Canada Australia, New Zealand and mother united kingdom. South Africa went down the tubes, and thr rest of the British empire js backwards.

Argentina was one of the wealthiest, most advanced nations in the world, until the left took control.

Argentina went down the tubes with Juan and that wife of his (Eva) Peron. Nation has been an economic basket case ever since.

However as with most if not much of South America meddling by United States with Juan Peron and successive governments of Argentina haven't helped either.

Different countries that have ended up where they are today for very different reasons.

Brazil has always been poor and unequal, and yes, a lot of that traces back to slavery and you see that in huge regional disparities within the country that persist today.

Argentina was one of the richest countries on earth and then was impoverished by Peronism.

Southern Brazil (although not the country as a whole yet) is richer than Argentina now, despite Brazil's historical poverty and Argentina's historical wealth. Goes to show how important better (or in the case of these two, less bad) governance is over time.

Argentina peronism is a form or facism. Juan peron spent time in facist Italy and nazi Germany and was inspired on economic arturkic socialism of those two nations. Only in the Anglosphere that we. View nazism and facism as right wing for some odd reason. Nazism and facism is just as socialist economically as communism and Marxist governments.

The latest value from 2021 is 1108.93 million U.S. dollars. Brazil, pop 243 million.
Considered one of the largest economies in the world and the US has to send them millions of taxpayer dollars???

The latest value from 2021 is 153.53 million U.S. dollars. Argentina, pop 45.81 million. 2nd largest economy in SA. US has bilateral trade deal w Argentina. Argentina's vice president is found guilty of corruption. Argentina ranks relatively low on the list of most corrupt countries.

Here is why poverty exists in Brazil.... tons of money and a seriously corrupt government. Clientilism, cronyism, and nepotism are widespread. Brazilian Supreme Court openly mingle with politicians. Bribery throughout the Brazilian bureaucracy. DUH!

the US has a legacy of neglecting SA countries other than sending cash, which ends up who knows where. The US needs to establish relationships, not just mail in cash donations. SA could be a golden egg.

The USA and Exxon mobile is in Guyana. A former British colony. Guyana has the fastest growing economy in South America. The best benefit is that it speaks English and has an Anglo culture like united states UK and Canada even though it was backwards and Marxist after independence.

This ^^^^.

Americans need to pay attention to the horrendous destruction leftist policies wreak. MANY countries have been destroyed by extremely ill-advised leftist policies.

Naziism has only been viewed that way because that’s how it’s been portrayed by the left wing media in this country. They have always wanted to connect it with conservatives. In reality, there are Nazis on both the far right and far left, but the government put in place by Germany and Italy were far closer to authoritarianism than democracy…and thus more closely associated with left wing fascism.

I’m not an Argentinian expert, but as you said, peronism is basically a form of authoritarian socialism that gives government far to much control over the economy and the people’s personal lives.
