The question is, is America heading the same way as Argentina? It sure seems like the Dems are encouraging it but then again crashing a country is the best way to fundamentally change it.

That has happened in Capitalist countries as well, like the US, and the use of internment camps for Japanese in the USA during WW2, the literal same time period.

Rant from charcater Che Guvera in Broadway musical "Evita".

"What's new, Buenos Aires? Your nation which a few years ago had the second largest gold reserve in the world is now bankrupt. Your country which grew up and grew rich on beef is now rationing it. La Prensa, one of the few newspapers which dare to oppose Peronism has now been silenced and so have all the other reasonable voices. I'll tell you what's new, Buenos Aires....."

Though mostly associated with Cuba and that country's revolution Che Guevara was born and raised in Argentina. Musical "Evita" of course is fiction, and there is nil to little evidence either Juan or Evita Peron knew or had anything to do with Che Guevara the character represents sort of a sideline narrative as to what was happening in Argentina at the time.

Early in prior century there was a saying; Il est riche comme un Argentin!" ("Rich like an Argentine"). This referred to the extraordinary wealth (and power) of Argentina's landowning aristocracy.

By 1910 Argentina was the "world's barn" due to her exports of grain and other commodities. Immigration from Europe (largely Italians and Spanish but also French, Germans, and others) fueled population growth.

Indeed while Europe's nations were engaged in two world wars Argentina's economy was booming. Post war years were good as well; then came Juan Peron and things came to a crashing halt.

To understand Argentina and Argentines (latter believe they are God's gift to the world) you have to understand nation's history.

Europeans flooded into Argentina for many of the same reasons British then others fled England to found and establish United States of America. A distain for landowning classes and nobility of Britain and Europe, but Argentines quickly (as in many parts of USA in particular the south) set up their own aristocracy (landowning classes and others) and aped same sort of systems found in Europe.

Those were leftist policies. FDR ordered the internment of Japanese-Americans. Are you beginning to understand the pattern, yet?

Many on the right (not far right) have a general belief in the Bible and that it teaches we have rights and freedom given to us by God that cannot be taken by man. Similar language is used in the nation’s founding documents. This does not necessarily mean that the left are all atheists. I know several democrats (old school ones) that call themselves Christians. However, if you look at the leaders who have lead socialists, Marxists, communist revolutions, the majority if not all have been staunch atheists. Removing the belief that we have inalienable rights, puts egotistical men/women in charge of rights, and that’s not a good combination.

Academia defines what is left and right. It is no different than defining the Bible. Sadly defining things have flaws and can be falsely wrong. It is hard to define facism especially many variants of the ideology such ad nazism peronism and baathism like in Iraq prior to US invasion and present day Syria. The states and academia define facism as right wing.

What did he do that destroyed the middle class in Argentina? And caused massive poverty?

So the problem was Brazil economy was base on slavery like Mexico than people moving there and working there like the US and Canada.

Also it does not seem like Brazil or Mexico ever industrialized like the US and Canada may be that is other reason for the unequal class struggle.

The person you made that response to is someone using English as a second language and is from another country. He doesn't understand what the idioms 'left' and 'right' now mean as American political terms and idioms. Left and Right are American common daily political hangups, not global hangups. So you may find it helpful to be more explicit with the language you use by using words that are more literal in the English language and avoid confusion by stopping using idioms like left, right, leftist, rightist that aren't easy for everybody in the world to understand what you're talking about.
