Today while waiting for the PATH train after work: I saw a man with one of those mailbag-type bags slung over his shoulder. On the side was printed "IBM Buisness Solutions."

The wine department at my local supermarket has little signs for each section. One of the signs advertises "Sherry - Port - Madiera". There are bottles of Madeira within one foot of the sign. I pointed out the error to an employee months ago; the sign is still there, unchanged.

This thread is the home I have long been searching for.

Julia, I like your sharpie idea. I'm going to steal it from you.

I can understand misspelling more intricate words, especially when the only thing you have to rely on is your brain. However, if you're on the internet, then GOOGLE the proper spelling!! It will take all of two seconds. If you have time to Google "purple unicorn," then I KNOW you have time to google up the spelling of a word.

My favorite thus far was at a Wendy's I visited while on a high school youth group several years back. It was a message about drunk driving on one of those mass-printed, paper mats they put on your trays. I quote..."It's you're biggie night..."

Maybe the target audiences include Muslims (during Ramadan, they get to end their fasts at sundown.)
