In a town near me, there is a street whose signs identify it as "Veteran's Memorial Drive".
While I applaud the town's noble effort, I think that it would be better if they had decided to honor all veterans, instead of just one (unnamed) vet.

Wish I had saved every example that I've encountered lately. Who in the world is captioning movies these days?

1. People who flunked grade school spelling?

2. People learning English as a second language?

3. People who argue for the legalization of marijuana, say they use it at their job and it never affects their performance?

4. All of the above?

The latest: "This illness is bringing me to my niece."

Those captions are the living end. So many awful things get printed I think they must be using some kind of voice-to-text captioning program, if such a thing exists.

Default Or pinching pennies

"Nobody is poor because someone else is rich.

"Or vise versa."

Well, I've heard of making the eagle scream ...

Default An arresting simile

Every now & then someone commits a happy accident:

Kids who are motivated at hone are going to do well regardless ...

I like hone in this context - like sharpening skills to cleave through difficulties, like a hot knife through butter.

When her and her mate split, HE got custody of the brain.

was cheated out of it's real president

I disappointed in _____.

The irony of an ABC reporter (whose parent company Disney has profited nearly half a billion dollars on the movie “Pocahontas”) inferring that the name is “offensive” is truly staggering to me.
- Eric Trump

There is just some really angry and unkind people out there

Q: "What angle makes you warm in a cold room?"
A: "In the corner where it's 90 degrees."
