Have you read about the Sun lately? Lots of huge solar storms and flaires. It could maybe qualify as fire and brimstone. So...WIIFM?

But really a solar flaire large enough to really effect our infrastructure and knock out our countries grid system is pretty possible.
- a local home schooling mom, discussing her thoughts about the "Sun."

She also has this to say: Your either part of the problem...
Or part of the solution.

Great idea! The only problem with that would be that a lot of the students would be reading their essays as if their commas were periods. I can't believe how many people are guilty of writing one run-on sentence after another, and simply don't have a clue as to what the difference between a comma and a period is.

A CNN headline: "Atomic blast guinea pig found on ocean floor".

It turned out to be the remains of a ship which was deliberately sunk by atomic bomb testing in the 1940s.

But I'd sure like to see that atomic-blasted oceanic guinea pig whose image is conjured up by this headline!

This teacher had a copy and brought it to their attention when they took a breath.

I'm getting a vision of a bunch of blue-faced 7th graders.

Didn't Roger Corman make the movie?
