Stoneclaws WOW motivational and inspirational thread!!!
I have a dream of becoming a motivational speaker/writer and songwriter one day. So I'm starting this thread as a first step, dedicated to WOW (words of wisdom) and motivation. I can't promise that I am going to post something on here everyday but I am going to attempt to post something on here as often as I can. If anyone has any words of wisdom they'd like to contribute, please feel free.
Some of the postings on here may appear simple but we never know how much a simple word or phrase can mean to one person and what positive difference it may make in their lives.
Some of the words of wisdom are from my own writings and others are quotes (which will be cited). If I can't find the person's name who quoted it, I will cite the source.
I am going to start with a first writing for the day dedicated to my start in beginning my journey, and really applies to anyone who has a dream or aspiration.
“That's the funny thing about old people: they never seem in a hurry. I think old people have figured out that being five minutes late really doesn't matter much.”
― Shannon Wiersbitzky, What Flowers Remember

In LBJ's view one way the opposition gets wet and you don't.
Thank you for the explanation but it wasn't necessary; I'm aware of what the quote meant. Now can you please tell me when Herbert Hoover was the director of the FBI?
