We are seeing about that but we are under a time crunch. Since the loan originator made it seem like we were a shoe in(our mistake) and get us a conditional pre approval we went and signed a contract for a house. We have 30 days to close.

Do you have copies of your tax returns from that time? If so you would have had to claim unemplyment benefits and it would be on your tax returns. Maybe that would work.

Just wanted to update everyone;

We got the loan approved. We pretty much had strong arm them. They were telling us that the hold up was due to the USDA regulations. I called the USDA and found out the truth and told them we needed an answer by the EOB yesterday or we're walking. We had already contacted another lender who was willing to work with us.

So with 5 minutes left on the clock they called and said we were approved.

Thanks for the advice and help from everyone.

My advice is do your homework. Don't take their word as fact and do your own research.

Ah, it was a USDA. FYI, they do not use desktop underwriting, and because most of those loans are 100% financing, they are gone over with a fine tooth comb. You're lucky they didn't ask for a DNA sample and your great-grandmothers birth certificate.

Congratulations!

It wasn't the USDA, it was the LO saying it was the USDA.
