Sent my iphone to applecare to be repair/replaced, Turns out phone has water damage. Apparently Applecare does not cover liquid damage.

Here's the thing, the saleswomen I purchased the iphone from, told me that it cover's "EVERYTHING" except lost or stolen phones. So like the jamoke I am. I purchased it. What can I do? please help!

Only thing you can do is try several times with different reps. to see if you get a nice one that will get it fixed for you.

Did you read the contract before you signed it? It should clearly state what is covered and what is not. If water damage is covered show them your contract. If water damage is excluded you are SOL.

Water damage is never covered. My daughter has dropped her cell phone in water. Here is what you can do to fix it yourself:

1. Take the phone appart, including the battery and sim card.

2. Get a plastic bag and put uncooked rice in it including the phone, battery and sim card.

3. Close it up and put it on top of the refrigerator for several days.

4. Test the phone after a few days. If it dosen't work, put it all back in the bag for another day or so.

The rice and the heat from on top of the refrigerator will absorb the water in the phone.

It has worked for my daughter in the past on several occasions and it was totally under water too.

Good luck.
