I feel VERY Blessed to have such a great shift! I work from 10 PM to 6 AM...No drama, personalities etc.
The only issue I sometimes have is sleeping during the day! On my weekend now, and already somewhat off schedule! On a business day I would be getting ready for bed about now....
After 3 years of it, I finally went back to my swing shift. Not a lot of drama, but glad I have a no nonsense supervisor. Coworkers are OK, some friendly, some not so much. Sleeping in high heat was difficult, but energy drinks helped

Worked nights 11-7 AM for about a year after college, at a 24/7 data center. My system had a tough time adjusting, so I found a job with more regular hours.
We only had 2 shifts so 5:30PM to 5:00AM was the night shift. I worked it for a year and a half (manufacturing).
Day shift worked 58 hrs/week, which was 10 hr M-F and 8 on Sat. Nights was 55 hrs and no weekends. IIRC, night shift was $1/hr shift premium.
Overall, I kinda liked it, but I did get tired of it after a while. The good part was no weekends and there was no "brass" around. Everyone on days thought the night shift didn't do anything and vice versa.
Doing family things on Saturday were kinda tough. I would get up "early" around 10AM (after just getting into bed at 6) and we'd head out so I was usually tired by early evening. The other thing I didn't like was that whenever appointments were needed (doctor, etc), it was sleep time that was sacrificed. When working days, you might have to get out of work early for these things, or go after work, but when working nights, it was always your sleep time that took the hit. I didn't like that.
Then Sunday night, I had to stay up as late as I could (2-3AM) so I could sleep late into Monday to be ready for work Monday evening.
The entire world revolves around a day shift schedule.
