I had some construction and landscaping done by two companies. Both crews were comprised of local Caucasian men. Maybe that was just a fluke, but I think businesses, especially small businesses are no longer wanting to walk the tightrope hiring illegals.
I hold nothing against the illegals themselves though. Most, if not all are the victims of exploitation by the ruling class who wants dirt cheap labor while stuffing their own pockets.
Large numbers of children try to cross the border. Your solution is to murder those children? America already has a reputation worldwide of being violent pigs. People all over the world hate terrorist groups such as ISIS, but you want them to hate America even more.
The Soviet Union had no problem building a fence around their entire country that kept their people from leaving.
The United States ought to be able to build a fence along their southern border to keep Mexicans from entering. .
If they don't know how, hire some old Russian hardliners to design it for them.

You are incorrect. Why are some TECH companies like Microsoft, Facebook, etc also wanting Amnesty? The answer is that at least 40% of those here illegally came here legally but overstayed their visas (The Great Wall of Trumpa won't fix that.). Hence, that could be tech workers who came and decided NOT to leave when their visa is up. While it is true that they prefer fresh blood rather than allowing a foreigner to get citizenship (which makes it easier for them then to demand higher wages), giving those here illegally Amnesty and hence a way to stick around longer, PLUS the H1Bs and the EB-5s, allows them to GREATLY increase the labor supply, thus sending wages through the floor, thus bringing up their profits.)
BTW, when McDonalds, Wendys, Sears, Home Depot, Golden Corral, etc are hiring those who AREN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE HERE, that makes it harder for someone who might be in high school or early college and IS here legally to get hired as they have to compete with illegals now, and if they don't get the experience now, thanks to the illegals, they now have the dreaded "lack of career history" on their resume, which means they go to bottom of the hiring pile.
As for the unions, a lot of the farm workers unions, the SEIU, etc are actually PUSHING for Amnesty so if you're a regular legal American, don't expect them to help you.
Even temp agencies like Manpower are pushing for Amnesty, flooding the temp jobs with those who aren't supposed to be here.

The Trump Immigration Policy released last summer doesn't claim the wall will address visa overstays.
There are many other components to the policy addressing the entirety of immigration including: overstays, visas/influx of foreign workers, criminals & street gangs, refugees, anchor babies, prevailing wages for H1Bs, immigration moderation and other issues.

Meat packing industry.............I worked 19 years in a Beef Packing Plant from 1963-1982.

However, around the late 70's new packing plants started up in more sparsely populated areas of the US paying much lower wages. After they had gone thru the local labor force they started hiring illegals. No way our packing plants could compete with a packing plant paying lower wages to illegals.
Supply and demand should determine wage scale but when you enter illegals into the equation you have created an unfair situation where wages are low due to the supply of illegal labor.
Agree!.. spent 26yrs in new home construction. I made a good living doing work most people did not want to do (90K and up). The last 15 yrs I noticed more and more illegals moving into the trades. Most of the African Americans were the first to disappear. Then the lazy whites and soon most of the whites were gone. Wages were stagnate for the last few years due to the influx of illegals. Luckly I got out when the housing crashed in 2007. Lots of good middle class jobs lost to Americans due to our politicians and poor border control.
