and yes, I do display as much as I can
Hey, if you want to do this, that's your choice. This is NOT directed AT anyone in particular. It's my opinion which is 'just as valid' as yours.
Who said formal dress code? I have nothing against women who want to flaunt it.
However, in many jobs, it is unprofessional to show off your body. And, yes, after a certain age it looks 'pathetic.'
Classic bad older woman office look (not chic at all) "Short skirt, low cut blouse, cigarette hanging out of her mouth." (still dreaming of being 21 again..)
The British have a term that fits the look--Mutton dressed as lamb.

Work in a call center, dealing with morons all day.
a hint of cleavage is the only thing that makes this job bareable!
My sympathies...I did call center for 2 of the worst job years of my life. Yeah, you need something to get through the day without screaming down the phone at morons!!
Theres a couple of gals here that are always showing off the goods. Makes the day so much nicer!
No I don't, because I'm here to work, not to socialize and I don't want the added attention. Being a relatively attractive she-geek in the IT industry already gets me more attention than I want here at work. I wear sweatshirts, jeans, and sneakers, and I still have to brush off the guys. It gets really annoying sometimes because I just want to get my work done.
Well, I don't at work, but I do when I go out. I show some cleavage, wear high heels, wear halter tops and skirts (when it's warm out), and etc. But not at work, no.
I heard a great work related joke from a guy at work today.
There was an agricultural engineer that was visiting farms in the country side. Late in the day he comes to a farm and knocks on the door. A woman answers and he explains that he is an Agricultural Engineer and he is checking farms in the area, but since it is late he asked her if he could stay on her farm for the night.
The woman states that her husband is not around and won't be till the next day.
He sais that is ok because I am an Agricultural Engineer.
The woman then sais that they only have a single bed room and he would need to stay in the same bedroom as her.
He sais that is ok because he is an Agricultural Engineer.
She then sais that there is only one small bed and they will need to share it.
He sais that is ok because he is an Agricultural Engineer.
That night they both go to bed. The next morning she wakes up and finds that he is not in the room anymore and that not once in the night did he try anything with her. she goes outside where she sees the man looking at something.
He asked why they have so many roosters on the farm.
She ask's him what he is talking abut,
He say's that he has counted over 100 rooseters and wants to know why they have so many on such a small farm.
She points to a rooster and say's we only have one rooster. The rest are Agricultural Engineers.
