I didn't snap at my agent if that's what you're getting at. I liked the job, just not the location.
Well if felt like your safety was in jeopardy than why would you want to stay there? This was a temp assignment that either the agency or the company could have ended at any time.
It's not like it was a full time position.
I mean if you had to got to a bad part of Brooklyn, where you felt you were putting yourself in danger you, should be glad it ended.
It doesn't sound like the temp agency is holding it against you.

Allow me to go into detail.
I have been away from a job in a while. While this could have terminated at any time, my family felt I should have been grateful and not express concerns about the area. Now, I just felt bad that I even said anything to the temp agency about this at the job instead of doing it in private. They felt I should have kept the negativity to myself.

Well you might ask your family how they would feel if you didn't come home one night. Only you know if you were being overly dramatic regarding the area or not, but if you felt it was dangerous getting to and from this job than you made the right decision.

I am moving on from this. I will just have to try another agency because I'm sure that this one probably won't find me something else after this.
Well, you are probably like me. You feel bad, and you needed to let it out.
But, you can't do much but move on. Keep getting out there, trying agencies, calling, applying, and putting distance from this situation and eventually it will be in the past.
I had a bad situation or 2 with a temp agency, time will pass and after awhile it won't matter. I know all about feeling bad and beating yourself up over it though. Best of luck to you.
I think you are seriously over-reacting. I also think your employer over reacted as well. Are you sure the reason you were terminated is over the phone call?
Also, unless you were whinning or expressed your thoughts in a really strange way, I don't see how this would keep the agency from finding you another job - unless all their jobs are in that area. You have a right to specify what area you want to work in and where you feel safe. If you are concerned, go talk to the agent.
Finally, let it go. If it wasn't a place you felt safe, then you saved yourself the trouble of quitting. Move on and take another assignment. It was a two day temp job. It's really not a big deal.

Yes, it was over the phone call because she was upset because I was telling the agent I didn't like the location and would finish off the week.
Anyway, I went back to the agency today to pick up my check. He told me to don't worry about it and that he wasn't very fond of the job myself. He told me that I was honest in voicing my concerns to him and that he'll be willing to continue working with me in the future.

This is was I was getting at; I suspect you made some disparaging remarks about the location that you were avoiding in the OP. I assume you were not the only employee there which, makes your approval about the location moot, adding the fact you were a temp makes your opinion about the location insignificant.
For a beggar you appear to be awfully choosy, a diva without a following. Your family was spot on with their advice.

Excuse me, allow me to set you straight on this.
I said to the agent I wasn't fond of the location. It's not like I mentioned drug dealers, crimes, or hookers on the street. I felt a little threatened working in an isolated area where you don't see many people, aside from the truck drivers and a few other people just are crossing the street to head to work. I don't consider myself a diva. I was willing to take the temp but I was honest about the location. If it was a different location that didn't feel too isolated, I would have stayed at that position. If I was picky, I wouldn't have lowered my standards the way I have for the time I was unemployed.
Yes, I made mistakes, but I was more than willing to fix them.
For the record, my family realized that I was right about the location and I made the right call to the agent. This wasn't about me being picky. The one thing I felt upset about was the fact that I should have spoke to the agent in private about this instead.
This was about me being concerned for my safety. This position wasn't filled in a long time by the way.
Thank you and can the moderators close this thread? I said what I wanted to say and got it off of my chest. I will now continue my job search.
Why did that make you feel unsafe? Just cuz there aren't a lot of people around? If anything that probably makes it safer because people don't go to rob that area. If they had security and you worked late I'm sure security would have been more than willing to escort you to your car The poor security guards at my work are bored out of their minds lol.
Either way, glad you have moved on, you didn't do anything terrible
Good luck finding something new!
