Don't take this the wrong way, but it seems like you have a status anxiety problem more than anything else.

Keep your job because it sounds good and stable. Don't go to grad school just because you think is expected of you.

People go to grad school because they have a plan and grad school will get them there. You don't have a plan . Figure that out before just jumping head first without looking if there is water in the pool.

I know 2 people who went to grad school and it did nothing for their career. They have jobs that people with Bachelor's degree have. But I know of my friend's wife who went to get her MBA because she had a plan and knew exactly what she wanted in her career. After getting her MBA she went from being a scientist to being an executive who manages scientists.

You can keep your job and start a business on your free time at the same time too. Think and plan first.

Thanks mtta. I've never heard of status anxiety, but it makes sense. I guess I should just chill out if everything is good, for now.
