Are there any relatively dense neighborhoods with nearby commercial/mixed use space whose residents think, "It be great if there were a nearby cool coffee house"?

Thanks for any input!

I am glad you've asked that

we are moving to fairview, south of asheville, and one of the first things I've checked on google map 'what's nearby' was a coffee shop. the closest (!) was earth fare market, about 11 miles distance.

when we were house hunting, we were looking for a coffee house for a meet up with our realtor and ended up at a gas station next to cane creek middle school.

and I promise - I will stop by several times a week

US 74A (?) from Asheville to charlotte seems to be a pretty busy road, also.

Thanks much, I'll look at Fairview. Is it a neighborhood or a town/city?

Smile My preference is to find a neighborhood area

in Asheville. If anyone can help match my needs and desires for a location with those of an Asheville area with nearby neighborhoods that lack a great coffee house, I would greatly appreciate it! Maybe near the college?

Thanks!!

US 74(Alt) through Fairview is NOT the way any sane person goes between Asheville and Charlotte.

ok, that's why I set my questionmark. I just leave it to U 74 A/charlotte highway, half way between asheville and lake lure.

I don't live there yet - ask me in fall - but here are some data Fairview, Buncombe County, North Carolina - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
