We are looking for flat land in the valley with mountain views. Most of the homes or subdivisions that we find on realtor.com are too woodsy and gloomy. We prefer more of an open vista like farm type setting like something you'd see off a country road. Any areas like that in Waynesville or do we need to seek a different area? We also have 3 young children so we want to make sure the schools will be good as well.
Thank you! Is there a certain neighborhood/subdivision I should look into or is it just available land? Trying to see if I can view any of it on the internet.
Both of those areas are very nice. Waynesville is just beautiful. We are doing a project outside Waynesville that combines pastoral living with quality construction and architecture. It has a river running through a 200 year old farm...rolling, but with views. Twelve minutes to Waynesville. visit coldmountainlife dot com
Administrator and fellow city-data readers...I posted the above and later read the policy on commercial/spam type postings. While I intended to answer the question as to whether there are subdivisions that are not "woodsy and gloomy", my response probably is too close to spam. Apologies to all. Administrator please delete my post. I'll try again:
There are some areas around Waynesville, Crabtree, Ironduff in the northern part of the county and southern Haywood County has a beautiful agricultural valley called Cruso. It is quaint, scenic, gentle, close to Waynesville and Asheville and has the Pisgah National Forest to the South. Had a home here for eight years and we love country living close to town. Also, brand new school in Bethel (another area on the way to Cruso you may love based on your preferences) Cheers
