Hi All,
I am just back from a long weekend of looking at properties in Madison Co.
We are considering a little house off of Hayes Run Road in Marshall. My concern is the quarry there at the intersection of 251 and 25. Of course, the seller (FSBO) says that noise and dust from this quarry are negligible. My RE agent points out that, depending on where they are working and what the wind is doing, the quarry really can have an adverse effect on quality of life. I can tolerate crunching and grinding, but back-up beepers really make me crazy!
I ran into a fellow in River Run (where the little house is NOT), who says the license has run out and the quarry will be closed down in under two years.
Does anyone on this board know if that is true? Appreciate any input!
