Hi, I am wondering if Armonk School is MUCH better than Katonah. The housing in Katonah are cheaper than Armonk in general. I work in White Plains, the driving from Katonah by 684 is not bad at all, my DH works in Somers, it is easy for him too. I know Armonk schools rank higher than Katonah, but is it worth the big difference price tag of houses. I heard Armonk schools are highly Jewish populated, we are Asians, might not fit in there. I also heard that there is more snow in Katonah, is it true? Please share your insights. Thank you.

Both districts are excellent. And yes, you can get much more for your money in the Katonah-Lewisboro district (especially in South Salem) because of the further distance.

Thank you for the reply. So Armark schools are not significantly better than Katonah, then I have more peace in my mind to buy in Katonah.

Of course. The test scores are probably higher in Armonk/Byram Hills than Katonah, but so what. If your kids are brilliant they will get into top colleges from either district. If there average students they will get into average colleges.

BELIEVE ME, you have nothing to worry about with Katonah schools.
