I would say say about 38 miles. I am from Boca and moved to Port St Lucie about 2 years ago. Big mistake!!! Anyways, I continued to work in Boca and make the 75mile trek one way so 38 miles should really not be too far. My mom has her condo for sale in Boca and can't wait to move to Jupiter. Such a classy town.

any insight on not-so-expensive places to live near Delray? We def. can't afford a million $$ to live on the beach <sigh> Looking more in the $200,000. range with room to breath (ie: 2000 sq ft?) Is this even possible there in a nice neighborhood - house or condo? (looking for low maintenance)

delray at 100 a square foot will be tough. Actually over off of tenth, I forgot the name of the neighborhood right now, but you can probably get a short sale there. Neighborhood was built in the 70's. Believe it's tropic cove or something. Everything near Atlantic is still high priced if it's in a nice area.

Could you go smaller? When I was looking in Boca area there are a lot of 2 bedroom condos that are in that price range. The issue will be the HOA fees too. Just be careful in Delray. Some is very nice but some is a little scary in my opinion. Have you thought of Jupiter area? Since you have friends there they could maybe direct you to areas.

Default Google is awesome

Google Maps =>
Options: Real Estate - up to $200,000 - Foreclosures - 2 Bedroom - 1+ Bath - (I left the area/square footage part blank). I don't know the neighborhoods but there does seem to be some inventory. Delray Beach, FL - Google Maps

You can do the same for the Jupiter area or anywhere.
