What a miserably cold day today with a high of less than 3 degrees. It being sunny doesn't make the cold feel any more tolerable. In fact it's very annoying at its low angle always getting in your eyes. Stupid frost and ice making it slippery too. Hands going cold after 2 seconds and nose running. Oh the joys of winter.

Some inconsiderate POS's car alarm is going off right outside my window and isn't going to stop apparently.

A certain "crewecold" on netweather is now unveiling his wet dream about how we're apparently gunna have the "big one" this winter because he has a "feeling" about it. Mildest on record then... whoppeeeee!

Its 53 F today and the Chinese kids are bundled up with 5 coats from head to toe, while British & American chic's are still in T-shirts (thankfully with jeans). I thought it gets very cold in china, so why do they bundle up so much.

No we drive politely here. Well except when I deliberately ran somebody over, ran red lights, did 80mph in a 30 etc..... apart from that we're like angels on the road.

I used to do a driving job for a living so I have a ton of scary near miss incidents in my logbook but thankfully no accidents. Once I was being really silly (I admit now) and was trying to stop some idiot overtaking me in the wrong lane, so I inadvertently got up to 100mph+ on a short stretch of dual carriageway, which was wet, and coming to an end in about 200 yards with a roundabout at the end. The skidding that took place was somewhat nauseating, with the car being swung here and there, fishtailing all over the road, bumping off the curb (but thankfully not hitting anything), and me struggling with the damn controls to get the thing to just stay on something that looked like a road and not hitting a building, person, lamp post, or whatever. Cool times. When I finally straightened onto some road or other off the roundabout, it was not the one I had been intending to turn onto.

But that road sucked. There was a retardedly positioned pedestrian crossing traffic light right in the middle of this fast road, which was practically never used, til one day I was cruising down the road about 75mph, in the rain, and suddenly the light changed and I noticed the cars infront had stopped. I thought "why the ****"? And noticed the lights were red for the first time in 573 days. I slammed on the brakes seriously thought I was not going to stop behind the cars infront. After plenty of squeeling tire noises, skidding, and my face contorted into a frightful pained expression of impending doom, the car miraculously barely just stopped about 0.07" behind the rear of the car infront. It was probably still doing about 30mph less than 10 meters behind it. Thank christ the brakes bloody worked that night.

And oh this was years ago, I don't drive that crap anymore thankfully. I learned my lesson after multiple stops and warnings from the police etc...

Idiot driver almost slammed into a semi and my car while doing close to 90 mph in a 65 mph zone on 287 with heavy truck traffic. He was swerving across 5 lanes of traffic without turning on his indicator. Hope the driver is reprimanded for this.
