buddy

And i'm not in "grade school" this is my last year. I'm 18 in December.
And I've already studied an hour each night of my geography course since mid august.
When I hear stories like yours, it sure makes me glad I went to school in an era when us kids were coddled to no end...lol. Very little homework, even in my high school years (3-4 hours a week was my average), we had tons of early release days due to weather whether it be too hot or just the threat of snow (yeah, no kidding...lol), we could wear whatever we wanted to school - boy, I sure had it easy as a kid. I will forever be thankful I grew up in the era I did (70's and '80's).

When it comes to homework, I think it should be more or less abolished, at least here in the USA, because of differing home environments. Kids that grow up in well-off families with a good deal of parental support and guidance quickly gain an edge over kids in broken homes that offer little to no homework support - it's no wonder we have such a class disparity in our school systems today, especially in the big cities. So, my solution is to have the kids do their schoolwork at school, and limit the homework to test preparation and special projects (which could be done at school after hours, imo).

I'm dead in the morning. I shouldn't be awake. Stupid phone is addictive.

Anyway. Try and sleep now.
